1227 the mention of so called Lovětín path leading via Třešť

1233 the mention of so called Humpolec path leading via Třešť

1349 the first written report on Třešť recorded in Provincial Brno Boards

1349 two villages - Jezdovice and Buková - belong among the parts of Třešť domination 

1353 the first written report on the Roštejn Castle

1355 Záviš from Třešť became the owner of Třešť domination

1355-1358 Štěpán from Březnice is the keeper of Třešť

1358 the Moravian margrave Jan, brother of Charles IV, gained Třešť and at the same year he                      sold it to the Šternberk family

1391 the first report on mining of silver in Jezdovice region

1402 Třešť nobility participated in an assault of Jihlava

1424 the first Jews in Třešť after banishing from Jihlava

1493-1626 the domination belongs to the Vencelík family, reminder of Jewish cemetery

1513 the residence of Třešť suzerain, introduced as a fortress, at the end of 16th century Renaissance Chateau was built in Třešť

1802 the tradition of Christmas cribs making started in Třešť - the first painted figure made of paper

1814 the oldest Guild of Drapers has got its own flag

1846 new guild banners were provided (now deposited at Třešť Museum)

1847 the first mention of the Třešť amateur theatre

1848 the collection point for letters was replaced by so called the post expedition

1860 the first wooden figure appeared - the era of wooden Christmas cribs started in Třešť

1790 the first post office was founded

1863 the great fire of both the upper and lower square (56 houses burnt up)

1868 Moric Knapp founded his new firm for manufacturing of the watch cabinets and furniture

1870 a new German savings bank Credit-Verein was founded 

1871 a new telegram station with daily service was set up at the post office

1871 the first educational club - Catholic-political union - was founded  

1872 Moric Knapp together with Vienna businessman Stern made a corporation of their two firms; a new joint stock company Stern and Knapp was founded (it manufactured watch cabinets, music cabinets and bedroom furniture)  

1873 Třešť was the first town in Moravia where Czech town school was opened   

1878 Volunteer Fire Company was founded

1881 the town library was founded

1884 Czech kindergarten, so called Marianum, was opened (No. 103)

1887 the trading school was founded

1889 St. Leopold, St. Philip and St. Jacob - three new bells - were brought to the St. Catherine Church

1890 a new two-floor school building was built in the square

1893 an athletic union SOKOL was founded (26 members)

1896 the first building company in Třešť - Josef Podzimek and sons - was founded (a circular brickyard, a steam saw-mill, production of goods made of cement)

1898 the great fire in Schumpeter´s factory, the scene of fire was bought by a factory owner from Hodice, Bertold Munch who built a new three-floor building there

1898 a self-help dietary association "Mutuality" was founded

1901 the emperor František Josef I. promoted Třešť to become a town and allowed to use the town coat of arms - the silver Vencelík´s unicorn in the blue shield

1902 the Apicultural Association was founded

1903 the beginning of building of the town water main

1908 establishing of the District Court in a new building - today the municipal office

1908 the town water main was finished

1909 Norbert Meissner and Weiberger started their production of clogs and wooden shoes   

1909 Rudolf Munch took over, after his father, the factory producing drapery  

1909 the telephone central was set up

1910 the Building and Housing Association ´Progres´ was founded - building of the new quarters Progres and New home

1911 the Mutually Charitable Association ´Rescue´ was founded (90 members)

1912 the Huss´s Public Reading-room was founded (house No. 18)

1912 the District Care of Youth was founded

1914 World War I. broke out - 129 Třešť citizens lost their lives in it

1925 a new cinema SOKOL was opened in the coffee-house ´Republic´, a new film projector was bought, all the films were mute and for adults only

1927 the production of radio cabinets was started in the factory of Ignác Meissner

1928 festive opening of the ´Sokol house´ at Nádražní Street

1931 ´VÝVOJ´ - the cooperation of tailors and furriers - was founded in Třešť

1933 the Museum Association came to existence in Třešť

1934 the Monument for citizens killed in World War I. was unveiled (129 victims)

1934 opening of Třešť museum in the house No. 18

1938 an illegal organization of Czechoslovak Communist Party was founded

1939 the cooperative society ´Mutuality´ had 9 outlets and 22 employees

1939 Nazi troops invaded Třešť

1939 the town schools are converted into so called main schools

1939 Ignác Meissner´s factory was confiscated and disposed to Nazi

1939 Rudolf Munch, a factory owner, was arrested and executed

1945 the Revolutionary National Committee was founded (12 members), it entered on public affairs of the town and organized an armed commando of revolutionary guard

1945 the anti-Nazi uprising broke out (56 citizens were killed)

1945 the Sternbach family moved to Austria

1945 opening of the Town Music School (57 pupils)

1947 a new cinema ´Slovan´ was opened in the pub "U Růžičků", Revolutionary Street

1949 on the basis of decree of the government the district of Třešť came to existence

1949 Machine and Tractor Station was established

1949 the first Pioneer Organization in Jihlava region came to existence in Třešť

1950 the Collective farm was founded in Třešť

1950 a new bell was lifted into the belfry of St. Martin Church

1950 the Union ´OREL´ was cancelled

1952 the District committee of Svazarm was founded in Třešť

1952 setting up of the bus connection Jihlava - Třešť (once a day)

1956 the District library was opened in Třešť

1956 the athletic unions Slovan, Tatran, Jiskra and Slavoj were fused

1957 the athletic union Sokol was cancelled and embodied into the Czechoslovak Union of Physical Training

1958 on the 7th May, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the front of the Local People´s   Committee

1958 the first Romanies came to Třešť

1958 a new town museum and gallery was founded (in the Castle)

1983 the former Jewish synagogue was handed over to the Charge of Czechoslovak Hussite Church

1983 natural gas from Dlouhá Brtnice was brought with pipelines to Třešť and thus the gas service of the town began - festive setting gas on fire

1983 the Třešť Chateau was handed over to the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in Prague

1988 opening of a multi-functional building at 20 Revoluční Street

1988 a new cinema ´May´ was opened

1991 opening of the Tax Office in Třešť

1991 a branch of the Employment Office was set up in Třešť (at the multi-functional building)

1992 setting up of the Trades Licensing Office in Třešť

1992 founding of the Agricultural Cooperative Farm ´Roštýn´, with the residence in Hodice

1992 a branch of Commercial Bank was set up in Třešť (at the multi-functional building)

1993 Josef Podzimek got back, on the basis of the restitution, the District Building Company Jihlava with the residence in Třešť  

1993 the Domiciliary Service came to existence in Třešť

1993 a new Secondary technical school, branch furniture making, was opened in Třešť

1993 founding of the parish Charity in Třešť

1994 Josef Podzimek founded his joint stock company P and S, with the residence in Prague

1994 a new organ was bought for the St. Martin Church

1995 Josef Podzimek founded the firm Machine-works Podzimek, Ltd.

1995 a new Boarding House at Palackého Street was opened (30 flats)

1996 the Health Centre in Třešť was privatized and nowadays all the health care is provided   by the Health Centre, Ltd.

1998 the town was conferred the right to use the flag of the town Třešť

1999 the town celebrated 650 years from the very first written report on Třešť recorded in Provincial Brno Boards
